2013 Preview
Grayslake North qualified for the IHSA Playoffs in 2012. It was the program's first postseason appearance in seven years of Grayslake North football. The 8-2 final record was the best record for Knights football. The eight wins surpassed the previous team record of five wins accomplished in 2010.

Three all-conference performers return for head coach Steve Wood. Running back Titus Booker scored 12 touchdowns and rushed for nearly 800 yards as a sophomore. Brad Baker finished with almost 500 yards receiving, and will have a new quarterback throwing to him in 2013. "If our quarterback comes around, we should battle for the conference title again," Wood said.

The Knights won the Fox division of the Fox Valley conference in 2012, going 6-0 in league play. Crystal Lake Central finished a game back, and Woodstock North took third place.

Eleven starters return at Grayslake North, but the Knights will count on plenty of newcomers this fall. "We will go as far as our young kids take us," Wood said.

Head Coach
Steve Wood has been the only head coach in Grayslake North's program history. He has built the Knights into a playoff contender and conference champion in its short life. He played one season at Wartburg College.
